A strip of styrene (polystyrene) with a section of 1.5 x 2.0 mm and a length of 350 mm, in a package of 10 pieces. The section is only slightly rectangular, so the strip looks slender from every side and suits anywhere a thicker strip would be conspicuous. It is one of the most universal small sizes both for adding detail to kits and for the frame of small diorama elements.
A thin strip is divided by scoring and snapping; when cut with nippers the end is easily crushed, so a knife is better. It is glued with liquid cement for plastics, which is allowed to flow into a joint already held together, so you can align the part in peace first. Small frames are best built directly on the model along the edge they follow. Once dry, the joint can be sanded away to nothing and the surface sprayed with primer like the rest of the plastic.
For modelers who add detail, repair missing small parts or build their own accessories and dioramas. For fine work it is a more practical choice than thick profiles, because it can be bent and shaped with a minimum of force.
Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package. When cutting and sanding, work on a mat and in a well-ventilated room.
