Eduard Canberra B(I)8 landing flaps 1:72 is a photo-etched set of landing flaps for a model of the English Electric Canberra bomber. It is not a model but a metal accessory to a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set of landing flaps from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale replaces the flat plastic flaps of a model of the English Electric Canberra B(I)8 bomber with more faithful metal parts that have an internal structure. It is not an aircraft kit and not a finished model, but a detail accessory that lets the flaps be shown lowered and with a realistic internal framework.
The English Electric Canberra was a British jet bomber from the early 1950s. The B(I)8 version was the combat variant for night attack and interdiction, with an offset single-seat cockpit. The Canberra stood out for a high service ceiling and a long service career with the RAF and with foreign air forces.
Carefully cut away the original plastic flaps and replace them with the photo-etched parts. Separate the metal with a sharp knife, shape it in a bending tool and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the parts before painting. Lowered flaps noticeably enliven the silhouette of a model on its stand.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts only. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
