This plastic kit in 1:72 scale depicts the legendary French supersonic Dassault Mirage III fighter with its characteristic delta wing. The package contains injection-molded plastic sprues, a clear cockpit part and a decal sheet with several marking options. The model is glued with a classic modeling cement for plastic and then painted; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
From the 1960s the Mirage III was among the most successful European combat aircraft. The E version was a multirole fighter and strike machine of the French Air Force, while the S version was its Swiss counterpart operated in mountain conditions. The tailless delta layout allowed speeds of over twice the speed of sound, but the aircraft was notable for a longer takeoff run and a more demanding landing.
Bond the delta wing and the fuselage with a thin liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints down for a clean transition. It is a good idea to detail the cockpit before closing the fuselage. For an even coat of metallic and gray shades an airbrush and a base primer suit well; a gloss clear coat under the decals prevents silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
