Decals 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf 109 B in the Condor Legion — a decal sheet from the Czech manufacturer AML with markings for the early Bf 109 B aircraft deployed in the Spanish Civil War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This decal sheet in 1:72 scale from AML is intended for the early Messerschmitt Bf 109 B fighters deployed with the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War. It lets you build the beginning of the career of the most produced fighter in history, in a form that differs markedly from the later versions.
The Bf 109 B was the first production version of the type; it was powered by the Junkers Jumo 210 engine and its armament consisted of 7.92 mm machine guns. From 1937 these aircraft were deployed with the German Condor Legion in Spain both for trials and in combat, where the conflict served as a hard test for a new generation of monoplane fighters. The experience gained there fundamentally influenced the further development of the type and the tactics of the fighter force. The Spanish schemes with their period markings are a distinctive subject both historically and visually, documenting the early development of a famous type.
Prepare the surface of the model with gloss varnish, apply the subjects the wet way and settle them with a decal softener. Period markings tend to be simpler than the later wartime ones, which makes precise and symmetrical placing of the individual items stand out all the more, so measure the positions out in advance. Once dry, fix everything with varnish.
This is a decal sheet; the aircraft model is not included in the package.
