Replacement engine exhaust nozzles in the open position for a model of the F-14A Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American two-seat twin-engined carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing, and the F-14A version is its most numerous form. The tail with two engine nacelles set far apart is part of what gives the type its unmistakable silhouette, and on a model it is a place the eye cannot avoid.
Replacement engine exhaust nozzles for a model in 1:72 scale, made in the open position. An open nozzle lets you see inside, so the tail of the model does not end in a blank surface, and it takes the place of the simplified part from the kit. Which kit the set replaces parts of and how many parts it holds are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Check the position of the nozzles against photographs of the machine you have chosen, as it differs from one aircraft to another.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder, so that the mating surface stays flat and the nozzle follows on from the nacelle without a step. Try the fit dry first. The parts are not of polystyrene; they are glued with super glue. Wash and degrease them before painting, or the paint will not hold. Paint the nozzles before you seat them, as afterwards you cannot reach the inside. Grade the metal shades and the heat staining sparingly, as overdone variety looks unconvincing on a model.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
