A photo-etched set in 1:72 scale for sharpening up the cockpit interior of the F-35B Lightning II combat aircraft. The range of parts and the kit they are meant for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-35B Lightning II is a single-seat American combat aircraft, and it differs from the other versions of the family in being able to take off from a short runway and land vertically. A lift fan behind the cockpit and a swiveling nozzle in the tail serve that purpose, and they are why the fuselage has its characteristic doors in the middle. The cockpit is clearly visible under the one-piece canopy, and in 1:72 scale the large instrument display is the most conspicuous element inside.
The set aims at the interior, that is at the equipment of the pilot's compartment. The photo-etched parts are etched into a thin metal fret and held in it by narrow tabs; metal can be thinner and more intricate than injection-molded plastic, which comes in handy for panels, consoles, levers and belts. The list of elements and the kit they are cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions, so check it against the kit you have.
Fit the cockpit before you glue the fuselage halves together. With the color elements, check in the instructions whether they have an adhesive layer of their own, so that you do not apply glue to them needlessly. Separate the other parts with a sharp blade on a firm surface, sand down the remnant of the tab and make the bend along the marked score line in one movement. In 1:72 scale these are very small elements, so have fine tweezers and good light ready. Degrease the unprinted parts and spray them with primer before painting.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
