Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American supersonic carrier fighter Vought F-8E Crusader. The model from the manufacturer Italeri offers a generous decal sheet for several color schemes and conventional engineering suited to modelers of intermediate level. The package contains plastic parts, a clear canopy and an instruction sheet with a painting guide.
The F-8 Crusader was one of the first carrier fighters able to exceed the speed of sound and became known as the last American fighter to rely primarily on cannon armament. Characteristic was its variable-incidence wing, which allowed safer landings on the deck of an aircraft carrier. The F-8E version was among the most widespread and carried underwing stores as well.
Pay attention to the seating of the canopy, the raised wing and the nose with its air intake. We recommend a primer, masking of the glazing and an airbrush. Naval schemes in gray and white come out well after light accentuation of the panels; a gloss clear coat under the decals will ensure clean application of the markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
