A plastic kit of the American Grumman F6F Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American single-seat carrier fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by a radial engine, to which the bulky forward part of the fuselage also corresponds, and the machine was built to take a hard landing on a deck: a wide track of the landing gear, a robust structure and good resistance to hits. In the fighting over the Pacific it became the main fighter type of the US Navy.
The model in 1:72 scale is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The number of parts, the choice of markings and the recommended shades are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The 1:72 scale is a rewarding one for a builder who wants a comparable row of machines on a shelf and does not want to sacrifice a whole display case to them.
Finish the interior of the cockpit before joining the fuselage halves; once glued you will no longer get inside. Separate the parts with sharp nippers and sand the marks left by production, so that they do not stay on the joints. Mask the glazing of the cockpit before spraying; the mask is applied before the paint goes on. Naval schemes tend to be based on blue shades, which on a small model easily run together, so set them apart by working with light and shadow rather than with marked transitions. Apply the decals onto a gloss base, as on a matte surface a silvery rim appears under them.
Paints, glue, filler and masks are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
