Fw 190D-9 (Rudel) 1:72 from Mistercraft - an injection-molded plastic kit of the German Dora fighter in markings linked to Hans-Ulrich Rudel.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale represents the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 Dora fighter. The box holds gray plastic sprues, a clear canopy part and decals for several marking options, among them the aircraft linked to Hans-Ulrich Rudel. It differs from the Michalski boxing precisely in the choice of markings. Mistercraft is a Polish brand that releases kits from proven older molds.
The Fw 190D-9 came about by fitting the Junkers Jumo 213 inverted V12 engine with a lengthened nose cowling, which gave the Dora higher speed and better performance than the radial-engined versions. It went into action from the autumn of 1944 in the defense of the airspace of the Reich and as escort for Me 262 jets. Hans-Ulrich Rudel was one of the best known German ground-attack pilots.
Bond the plastic with thin cement, mask the clear canopy part and sand the seams down. Paint with an airbrush over primer; period RLM shades suit the subject. With an older mold, test the fit of the parts dry and add filler where needed.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
