The 1:72 metal 17 cm barrel for the Kanone 18 is a precisely turned metal replacement for the plastic barrel from Aber. It is not a model but a refining accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel from Aber in 1:72 scale, intended as a replacement for the plastic barrel on models of the German 17 cm Kanone 18 heavy gun. This is not a kit but an accurate refining accessory. The long large-caliber barrel looks markedly more faithful in metal and has a perfectly round profile.
The 17 cm Kanone 18 was a German heavy field gun deployed from 1941. It combined long range with mobility thanks to its mounting on a so-called mortar carriage and ranked among the most powerful artillery weapons of its caliber. It served to shell targets at long range during the Second World War.
Cut off the plastic barrel and clean up the seat, then glue the metal part in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A long metal barrel stays perfectly straight even on artillery models, where its own length often makes the plastic part sag. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer.
This is a refining accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
