Trumpeter 1:72 German E-75 Flakpanzer is an injection-molded plastic kit of a German anti-aircraft vehicle project on the chassis of the E-75 series, which stayed on paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter covers a project for an anti-aircraft vehicle built on the chassis of the heavy E-75 series. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The smaller scale means an acceptable number of parts and a quicker build, so the vehicle is a good choice even where there is no room for a large scale in a display case.
The E series, that is, Entwicklung, was a late attempt to unify the design of German tracked vehicles into several weight classes with shared parts. The E-75 belonged to the heavy category. The anti-aircraft variant was to have a rotating turret carrying rapid-fire armament with the crew inside the turret. In reality no such vehicle was built or deployed; it is a design proposal that remained at the project stage. The model therefore belongs to the category of so-called paper projects and is popular among builders of hypothetical equipment.
Finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before you glue the fenders and the superstructure to the hull, as you will no longer reach them later. Fill and sand the seams on the hull, because in a small scale they show. Spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats and do the transitions freehand or over an improvised mask of modeling clay. For weathering, a dark wash into the engraved lines, a fine accent on the edges with a dry brush and finally pigments for dust and mud effects on the running gear all suit well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
