This is a resin wheel set for a model of the British ground-attack aircraft with vertical take-off and landing, the Harrier in the GR.7 and GR.9 versions, in 1:72 scale. The set is not a standalone aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic wheels from the box with more precisely cast resin parts with a fine tire tread pattern and a well-rendered rim.
Cast wheels look more realistic than injection-molded plastic parts and are usually done with the load suggested, so that the aircraft looks natural on its landing gear. The wheels are cast for the Airfix kit of the Harrier GR.7/GR.9 in this scale.
First wash the mold release agent off the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water, cut off the casting blocks and sand the contact patches down. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding and apply a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
