This is a sheet of decals for 1:72 scale from the Hungarian brand HAD models, that is, an accessory for finishing a model and not a kit. This sheet is part two of a two-part series devoted to the late production version of the Soviet Ilyushin Il-10 ground-attack aircraft. Part one is a separate product with a part number of its own and the two parts complement each other; buying one sheet does not require the other.
The Il-10 was a single-engine armored ground-attack aircraft that replaced the Il-2 in the Soviet Air Force. All-metal construction and cleaned-up aerodynamics gave it a higher speed, and the crew of two consisted of a pilot and a rear gunner. After the Second World War the type spread to further operators, and a license version was built in Czechoslovakia. The late production machines differed from earlier ones in details of armament and equipment, which is also reflected in the markings, issued separately for this group of machines.
With the second sheet of a series it is worth working systematically: first place the large designs that set the positions, that is, the fuselage markings and numbers, and only then add the small markings. Always leave the film undisturbed for a while after applying it — a decal that has not yet adhered will tear at a touch. Over engraved lines and riveting use a softener and wait until the film ripples and flattens out again by itself; do not touch it until then. If you plan to weather the model, seal the decals with varnish first, so that a wash does not run under the edge. Choose the final degree of sheen to suit the subject — on ground-attack machines the surface tends to be matte.
