1:72 Lewis MKI Standard Stripped Front is a resin accessory for your own kit, not a model of an aircraft. The package brings two Lewis Mk I machine guns in the standard form with the front exposed, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is neither a kit nor a finished model but an accessory for your own kit. The contents of the package are two resin Lewis Mk I machine guns in the standard form, on which, according to the name, the front part of the cooling jacket has been removed. It differs from the variant labeled early precisely in the designation of the standard form; when choosing, go by a period photograph of the machine you are building.
A movable machine gun was markedly visible on a biplane and its shape differed from machine to machine. It is exactly here that a carefully built model shows: a weapon matching the period photograph of a particular aircraft is a detail that a knowledgeable viewer notices before the decals. Kits in 1:72 scale, meanwhile, usually deal with the armament with one coarse plastic part without legible divisions.
Rinse the castings in lukewarm water with detergent so that the paint holds. Cut the part off with a new blade only once you have the place on the model ready — a small weapon slips out of tweezers easily. Sand wet with respiratory protection and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Start the painting with a dark metallic base, carry on with a light wash and accent the edges of the cooling jacket and the drum magazine with a dry brush. In a small scale a slight exaggeration of the contrast works better than fine shades, which merge at a distance.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as separate resin parts. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
