HGW Liberator GR Mk. III / Mk. V - Stencils 1:72 is a set of wet transfers with technical stencils and service markings for models of the Consolidated Liberator bomber in the GR Mk. III and Mk. V versions in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds technical markings, the so-called stencils: the small service and maintenance notices, warning texts and symbols found all over the surface of the real aircraft. It is made using the wet transfer technique and is intended for models of the four-engine bomber and patrol aircraft Consolidated Liberator in the GR Mk. III and Mk. V versions in 1:72 scale. One sheet thus covers both related versions.
Unlike ordinary decals, a wet transfer leaves no glossy carrier film and no visible edge; only the text or symbol itself stays on the surface. The markings therefore look as though they were printed straight onto the skin, which shows especially on the large areas of a bomber. During application the transfer can still be moved and its position adjusted.
Go over the surface with gloss varnish. Moisten the transfer, settle it in place and squeeze the water out from under it. Let it dry for several hours, then carefully peel the carrier film off; only the print stays on the model. Finally, we recommend evening the whole out with a matte or semi-gloss coat depending on the character of the surface.
This is a modeling accessory (wet transfers), not a kit. The paints, the varnish and the models are not included in the package.
