A decal sheet in 1:72 from the Polish decal maker Techmod. It holds a set of the tactical numbers used on single-seat F-16C and two-seat F-16D machines of the Block 52+ version in the equipment of the Polish Air Force. This is not a kit or a model of an aircraft — it is an accessory for your own build, which widens the possibilities of marking beyond the decals from the box.
Boxed decals usually offer only one or two particular machines. A separate sheet with numbers makes it possible to build practically any example of the fleet, to replace a damaged or yellowed original sheet and to complete the markings in places the kit maker left out. The numerals are printed in a shade and size matching 1:72.
The F-16C/D Block 52+ is a single-engine multi-purpose combat aircraft. Poland brought this version into service in the second half of the first decade of the 21st century and uses it both for air defense tasks and for attacks on ground targets. The machines wear a low-visibility gray camouflage scheme, in which the tactical numbers are done in a contrasting dark shade.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat — on a matte surface a silvery haze forms under the film. Cut the motif out as close to the print as possible, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds only and let it slide off the backing. Fine-tune the settling with a decal softener and once dry draw a matte or semi-gloss coat over the whole model, so that the edges of the film disappear.
The package holds the decals only. The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of it.
