A finished model of the M1 Panther mine-clearing vehicle in 1:72 scale. An engineer vehicle that will not be lost among the tanks in a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
Clearing mines is work that is not much talked about, and yet without it a column does not move from the spot. The M1 Panther does it by brute force: in front it carries a heavy roller device that sets off antipersonnel mines by its weight, and behind it leaves a lane through which the rest of the vehicles can pass. The vehicle itself is built on the chassis of the M1 Abrams main battle tank, but without the turret, so it has an unusually low and flat silhouette. It is also designed to travel through the most dangerous stretch without a crew, under remote control.
The model is supplied finished, unless stated otherwise. You therefore have nothing to glue, sand or spray; it is enough to unpack it and stand it up. In 1:72 scale a vehicle the size of the Abrams works out at about eleven centimeters in length, and a little more with the mine-clearing device, so it sits well beside other vehicles and aircraft of the same scale.
What harms models in a display case most is dust and direct sun. Sweep the dust off with a soft brush or a blower bulb rather than a cloth, which easily catches on the small parts of the mine-clearing device. Sunlight changes the shade of the finish over time, so place the display case away from a window.
You need no paints, glue or tools for the model and they are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
