An injection-molded plastic kit of the British photo-reconnaissance Supermarine Spitfire in the PR.Mk.XI version in 1:72 scale. It is a modern tool from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov in an edition with interesting marking schemes (Special Markings). The package contains gray injection-molded plastic and a clear canopy.
The Spitfire PR.Mk.XI was the unarmed photo-reconnaissance version of the famous fighter. With the armament deleted, extra fuel and a powerful Merlin engine, it reached long ranges and high altitudes at which it was practically impossible to intercept. Aircraft of this version took key photographs over occupied Europe.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply primer before painting and mask the canopy. An airbrush suits the overall blue photo-reconnaissance scheme; apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a matte or satin coat. Fill and clean up the thin parts (landing gear, propeller) with care.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
