An injection molded kit of a tracked fighting vehicle in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Dragon. The polystyrene parts are glued with modeling cement for plastic and the model is painted once it has been assembled. The small scale shortens the building time, but makes demands on the cleanness of the work on the running gear and the small parts of the turret.
The Bradley exists in two basic lines: the infantry M2 and the cavalry M3, used by cavalry units. The M3 version does not carry a full infantry squad; instead it carries a smaller scout crew and has room in the hull for a larger stock of ammunition and antitank guided missiles. The main armament consists of an automatic cannon of 25 mm caliber complemented by a launcher for antitank missiles on the side of the turret. The designation ODS refers to the modernization program into which the experience from Operation Desert Storm was carried over, and which concerned above all the navigation, observation and protective equipment of the vehicle.
Assemble and paint the running gear before you cover it with the side skirts — afterwards you will no longer reach it. Cut the parts off with nippers and clean them with a sharp knife; in 1:72 even a small stub of a gate is conspicuous. Thin the paint and spray in thin coats, so that the engraved detail stays legible. Grade the green and sand shades by lightening the upper surfaces, add a thin wash into the pressed details and emphasize the edges with a dry brush. Concentrate the dust and mud on the running gear and the lower hull and let them fade as they go upward.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
