An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian biplane fighter Fiat CR.32 in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. It is a classic older-tooled kit; check the exact package contents and the marking options against the included instructions. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Fiat CR.32 was a nimble Italian biplane powered by a V12 engine that first flew in the early 1930s. It was renowned for its excellent handling and its service in the Spanish Civil War, where it was a mainstay of the fighter arm, and it remained in service into the early years of the Second World War. It was a typical example of an era when biplanes were being phased out in favor of emerging monoplanes.
With a biplane, precisely fitting the struts and wing bracing is essential, followed by rigging — add the bracing wires from stretched sprue or fine thread, ideally after painting. Fill and sand the fuselage seams, since older tooling tends to have a rougher surface. Spray the base coat over a primer, and apply the decals onto a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
