The highest grade of the New Ware mask set for the Voodoo in 1:72 scale. The set is cut for a particular kit and holds a self-adhesive film with ready-made shapes. Of the three grades offered, EXPERT has the greatest extent of coverage.
The highest grade means more small shapes, and those call for a different approach from large surfaces. Work on a light surface so that a small part does not disappear on you, and use tweezers with fine, unserrated tips. Never grip a part by the middle, as the film creases there. Move it by the edge and stick it down on one side first, then line the other side up. If a mask sticks down badly, take it off at once; moving it repeatedly reduces the tack so much that paint will creep underneath.
On very thin lines it happens that the film springs away from a curved shape once laid on. A brief warming with hot air and pressing with a silicone tip or a stick with a sanded end will help. If a corner still stands up, run a thin coat of clear varnish around its edge; that seals the edge and paint will not creep under it. The same trick works where two parts of the mask meet and a hairline gap is left between them.
The package holds only the masking film. Paints, glue and a kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
