Messerschmitt Bf 109B conversion set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer AML — resin parts for building the early version of the famous fighter with the Jumo 210 engine.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin conversion set from the Czech manufacturer AML lets you build the early B version from a Messerschmitt Bf 109 kit in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory for a base kit, so you will not find a stand-alone model in the package.
The Bf 109B was the first series-produced version of the best-known German fighter. It differed markedly from the later variants: it was powered by the Junkers Jumo 210 V12 engine, carried light machine gun armament and a number of aircraft flew with a two-blade propeller. The B version had its baptism of fire in the Spanish Civil War with the Condor Legion, where the tactics the Luftwaffe fighter force used in the following years took shape. For modelers the Bf 109B is attractive precisely for being different, as the slim nose with its exposed radiator gives the aircraft an entirely different character from the later versions.
Compare the conversion parts with the base kit before gluing and plan the work on the fuselage. Wash the resin, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue; fill the transition of the nose and sand it down. On the early aircraft fine, restrained weathering pays off, as the prewar and Spanish camouflage schemes were usually well kept.
The set is an accessory; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
