This is a set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket set of markings for building a model of the Japanese carrier fighter Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero in the Model 52 version. The release concentrates on machines committed at the end of the war to the defense of the Japanese home islands.
The A6M5 Model 52 was the most numerously produced version of the Zero, with modified, shortened wingtips and a more powerful version of the Nakajima Sakae engine. In 1944 and 1945 it formed the backbone of the Japanese fighter defense and faced the raids of American aircraft; at this stage a number of Zeros were also used in suicide attacks.
The decals are intended for the widely available plastic models of the A6M5 in 1:72 scale. Apply them over a smooth gloss coat so that no silvering occurs; decal softeners help them settle. Unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a set of decals (aftermarket markings), not a model. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
