Peewit 1:72 North-American Harvard Mk.II/III/IV Camouflage pattern paint masks are masking templates for spraying the camouflage pattern onto a model of the Harvard trainer. It is neither a kit nor paints.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masking templates from the Peewit brand with the shape of the camouflage patches cut out, for a model of the North American Harvard Mk.II, Mk.III or Mk.IV trainer in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor paint: it is an accessory that deals with one particular thing, transferring the shape of the camouflage fields onto the model so that it matches the real subject. Drawing camouflage boundaries by hand is one of the commonest sources of dissatisfaction with a finished model, and a template does away with it.
Harvard is the British and Commonwealth designation of the American trainer on which thousands of pilots went through their training. The Mk.II, Mk.III and Mk.IV versions differed in production batches and in deliveries to individual users; the machines served with the Royal Air Force, the Royal Canadian Air Force and other air forces, and a number of them stayed in service long after the war. Camouflage schemes on trainers changed with the period and the user, so a particular pattern always has to be tied to a particular machine.
For modelers who are building a Harvard in 1:72 scale and want camouflage with correctly shaped fields without lengthy cutting of masks out of tape. It will be appreciated above all by those who work with an airbrush and want a repeatable, predictable result.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Before buying, check that the set matches your kit and the scheme you have chosen.
