About product

PZL P.37 Los (FARR, Romanian) 1:72 (Mistercraft)

This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale represents the Polish twin-engine bomber PZL.37 Los in the B version, in the markings of the Romanian Air Force (FARR). The package contains plastic sprues, clear parts and decals for several variants; besides the Romanian machines it also offers Soviet Air Force (VVS) markings. Mistercraft is a Polish brand offering kits from proven older molds.

The real subject

The PZL.37 Los was an all-metal bomber of the Polish Air Force, advanced for its time, with two Bristol Pegasus radial engines and retractable landing gear. The B version had more powerful Pegasus engines and was the main production form. In September 1939 a number of machines flew ahead of the advancing armies to neighboring Romania, where they were interned and then taken into the Romanian Air Force (FARR); some ended up in Soviet hands as well.

Building and painting tips

Glue the plastic with liquid cement, mask the clear cockpit and gun position parts and sand the seams. After a primer, paint with an airbrush according to the Romanian or Soviet scheme you choose. With a budget mold, check the fit of the parts and add filler.

Who the model is for

  • Collectors of Polish and Romanian aircraft
  • Anyone interested in the unusual operators of the Los bomber
  • Builders of twin-engine prewar aircraft in 1:72
  • Modelers looking for an unconventional model outside the usual range

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
