Peewit, pre-cut painting masks for the Piper PA-18 / L-18C, 1:72 scale are a self-adhesive masking set for plastic models, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accurately pre-cut self-adhesive masking set from Peewit for plastic models of the light Piper PA-18 aircraft, designated L-18C in military service, in 1:72 scale. It is not a model and not a kit but a painting accessory bought separately. The Piper has an extensively glazed cabin, so masks cut to shape save a particularly large amount of work against cutting tape out by hand and guarantee sharp frames. The material holds on the edge and leaves no adhesive on the glazing once lifted.
The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is an American light high-wing monoplane with tandem seating and fabric covering, popular for undemanding operation from short, unprepared strips. The military L-18C version served for liaison, artillery observation, training and as a forward air control aircraft. In the 1950s the US Army and a number of allied states used it. Thanks to its good slow-speed qualities and its toughness the type stayed in service for a very long time.
Degrease the extensive glazing first. Move the masks with tweezers, lay them carefully between the frames and press the edges down with a toothpick against paint running under them. Spray the frame color first, then the primer and the camouflage, and lift the masks off while the coat is fresh.
This is a masking set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
