A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 fighter biplane, focused by theme on Soviet airmen.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Polikarpov I-153 was a Soviet fighter biplane, recognizable at a glance by its cranked upper wing and by the retractable landing gear that set it apart from older biplanes. It was still going into combat at the start of the German attack on the Soviet Union, when it already lagged behind modern monoplanes, yet Soviet airmen, known at the time as Stalin's Falcons, managed to make their mark with it.
The sheet brings markings for a model of this aircraft in 1:72 scale. You use it on an ordinary plastic I-153 kit, because the decals are tied to the surfaces of the fuselage and the wings rather than to the shape of particular parts. The extent of the sheet and the number of variants is given in the manufacturer's instructions, which you should also follow for the placing.
Coat the area under the decal with gloss varnish, otherwise small bubbles form under the film and the edges lighten. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version: a self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined, whereas a wet decal that has not been soaked can be soaked later. With the wet version, dip the element in lukewarm water for a moment, let it stand on the paper and settle it in place once it has slid off the backing.
The aircraft model, the paints, the varnishes and the decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
