1:72 Polikarpov Po-2/U-2 - Soviet PO-2 at War

Waterslide decals 1:72 Polikarpov Po-2/U-2 - the Soviet PO-2 at war (ROP o.s.)

A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale for a plastic model of the light Polikarpov Po-2 biplane (earlier the U-2). The subject concentrates on Soviet machines from wartime service. It is a standalone decal set, not a kit; the decals are transferred by soaking in water.

The real subject

The Polikarpov Po-2, originally designated the U-2, was a Soviet general-purpose biplane that made its name as a trainer, a liaison machine and a light bomber. In the Second World War it served for harassing the enemy by night, for supply and for reconnaissance; its slowness and its ability to fly at low speeds paradoxically made it a difficult target. The machine became one of the most widespread aircraft of its day.

Use

• Cut the decal out and soak it in lukewarm water.
• Move it onto the surface of the model and adjust its position.
• Apply it onto gloss varnish; a decal softener is suitable.
• Once it has dried, go over it with matte or semi-gloss varnish.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building the Po-2/U-2 in 1:72 scale.
• Anyone interested in the Soviet Air Force of the Second World War.
• Collectors of historic biplanes.

This is a decal set. The aircraft model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
