Special Hobby SNCASO Vautour IIB 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the French jet bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Special Hobby. The subject is the SNCASO SO-4050 Vautour IIB, a French twin-engined jet bomber of the 1950s. The IIB version is a single-seat bomber with a bomb bay in the fuselage. It is a short-run tooling meant rather for moderately advanced modelers.
The Vautour was a French multipurpose jet aircraft of the 1950s built in fighter, night fighter and bomber versions. They came into being at the SNCASO works and served with the French Air Force; they were also exported, and some of them flew for long years with foreign users. The IIB bomber version carried its bombs in a fuselage bomb bay, had a crew of one man and was adapted for strikes on ground targets.
Special Hobby kits are short-run, so expect some minor sanding of the molding residue and dry fitting of the parts before gluing. Mask the glazed canopy, unify the model with primer and lay the paints down with an airbrush. Treat the engine nacelles and the landing gear as separate subassemblies.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
