Pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale for painting a model of the Polish PZL P.7a fighter. The product is not a kit and contains neither parts nor decals. It is an aid for the painting stage, and in a small scale the precision of the cut is what decides the result.
In 1:72 the masked areas are really tiny, so it pays to work with fine-tipped tweezers and to transfer the mask on the tip of a toothpick moistened with water. Check the adhesion against the light, as on small parts an edge lifts easily. Apply the paint in very thin coats and at lower pressure, so that the stream does not blow under the edge of the mask. Remove it carefully with the tip of a scalpel while the paint is still flexible, and finally seal the surface with clear.
The PZL P.7a was a Polish single-seat fighter of the early 1930s and one of the first all-metal fighters in service. It is characterized by a gull high wing, which gave rise to a nickname derived from its silhouette, as well as by a radial engine and a fixed landing gear. The cockpit was open, protected only by a windscreen, so the area to be masked is small, but all the harder to cut by hand.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included. The set is cut for a particular kit in 1:72 scale.
