A kit of the British twin-engine Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer aircraft in 1:72 scale from Valom. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Twin Pioneer is a British twin-engine multi-purpose high-wing aircraft from Scottish Aviation. It followed on from the single-engine Pioneer and, like it, was built for short take-off and landing, that is for operating from improvised strips where an ordinary transport aircraft cannot put down. It carried both cargo and passengers and served military and civil operators alike. Among modelers it is a subject that does not turn up on the shelves very often, so the finished model will not blend in with the other machines on the display shelf.
The package contains the parts of the model in 1:72 scale and the maker's instructions. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The exact number of parts, the decals offered and the list of possible color schemes are given on the box and in the instructions. Bear the span of the high-wing aircraft in mind when looking for space in your display case: a model of a transport machine takes up more room than a fighter in the same scale.
Always dry-fit the parts before gluing and find the position in which they sit without being forced. Finish and paint the cockpit and the inside of the fuselage before you close it up, because afterwards you will not reach them. Fit the glazing as late as possible and protect it with masking tape applied before spraying and removed only once the paint has dried. Lay the paint down in thin coats so that the surface detail stays readable. Fill and sand the seams before painting.
Paints, glue, filler and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
