The Sd.Kfz.251 was the standard German armored half-track personnel carrier of the Second World War, built in many specialized versions. The version with the Wurfrahmen 40 frames carried launch racks for heavy rockets along the sides of the hull, which turned the vehicle into an improvised mobile rocket launcher for fire support.
On a half-track, pay attention to the running gear and to assembling the tracks before you close up the hull. The side frames and the rockets form a prominent feature that is worth bringing out with shading. Finish with washes and pigments for the mud and dust effects typical of field service.
