The set holds resin landing lights for a model of the British de Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.1 carrier-based fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory from Quickboost (Aires) that replaces the plastic parts of the kit with more faithfully cast items. It is not an airplane model but a detail set for raising the realistic look.
The de Havilland Sea Vixen was a British twin-boom carrier-based jet fighter of the 1950s. The landing lights are a small but visually rewarding detail that can be undercoated and finished with a clear or gloss coat. More faithful lights liven up a finished build.
Wash the resin parts to remove the release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and dry-fit them in place. The reflector faces will stand out after painting them silver and flooding them with a clear coat. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). When sanding resin, protect your airways and ventilate the area.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
