An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian SIAI-Marchetti SF-260W trainer and light attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. The Over Africa edition focuses on the color schemes of operators from African countries. The set contains parts in gray plastic, a clear canopy and a decal sheet.
The SF-260 is an all-metal low-wing aircraft with a piston engine, popular for basic as well as advanced training and for aerobatics. The armed SF-260W Warrior version carried stores under the wings and a number of smaller air forces used it for training as well as for light combat and reconnaissance tasks. Thanks to its simple and durable design the SF-260 remains in service to this day and is among the most widespread trainers in its category.
Separate the small parts carefully and sand the joints down. Fit out and paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. An airbrush and masking suit the varied schemes; apply gloss clear before the decals. A dry brush will emphasize the sharp edges of the small stores.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
