Injection-molded plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.Vc version in 1:72 scale from Smer. The box contains gray plastic parts, clear cockpit parts and a decal sheet. The Mk.Vc version is characterized by the so-called universal c wing, which sets it apart from the closely related Mk.Vb and which widened the choice of armament.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widely built versions of this legendary fighter. The Mk.Vc variant received the strengthened universal c wing, which allowed different gun fits including four cannons. The Mk.Vc was used on many battlefields including the Mediterranean and North Africa, and it often flew with the characteristic tropical filter under the engine, which protected the intake from dust.
Check the gun fit and whether a tropical filter belongs to the markings you choose. Join the parts with thin cement for plastic, sand the seams smooth and mask the cockpit glazing carefully before painting. Spray the British camouflage with an airbrush and soft transitions, and pick out the cockpit with its instrument panel before you close up the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
