The model represents a firing post of the Stalin Line with the turret of the heavy KV-1 tank fitted on a concrete base. It is a resin kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer ROP o.s.
The Stalin Line made up a system of fortified belts on the western border of the Soviet Union. Tank turrets fitted on fixed positions were used to strengthen the defense as well. With its armament, the turret of the heavy KV-1 tank made an exceptionally strong firing point for such a post.
This is a resin kit for experienced modelers. First wash the residue of the release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). You will put the concrete base and the massive turret together once they have been cleaned up and the mating surfaces prepared. The concrete surface comes into its own in plaster-gray shades with fine highlighting of the edges, and weathering is easier to reach with a wash and pigments.
The model is supplied as a resin kit, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
