The 1:72 Su-24 painting mask set serves for spraying the camouflage scheme onto a model in 1:72 scale. These are not masks for the canopy glazing but masks for the shapes of the camouflage.
Responsibility details are not available.
Self-adhesive painting masks from SX-Art intended for spraying the camouflage scheme onto a model of the Su-24 tactical bomber in 1:72 scale. The masks are stuck onto a base shade that is already sprayed and dry, they cover part of the surface and the next color of the scheme is added with an airbrush. This is not a kit and these are not masks for the canopy glazing, but an aid for painting.
The Su-24 is a twin-engined tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of two seated side by side. The machine was conceived for low-level penetration to the target and was also built in a reconnaissance form. The surface of these aircraft carried a broken camouflage scheme made up of several shades with fairly hard transitions, and imitating it freehand is difficult in a small scale and hard to repeat on both halves of the model.
The base has to be smooth and perfectly dry, otherwise the paint will tear away with the mask when it is removed. Press the mask down mainly around its perimeter so that no paint creeps under the edge. Spray straight at the edge in several light passes at lower pressure, not in one heavy coat. Choose the order of shades from lighter to darker. Remove the mask shortly after the paint has set, slowly and at a sharp angle, folding it back on itself.
The masks are an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
