A boarding ladder for Su-27 family aircraft in 1:72 scale from LP Models is an accessory to a model, not an aircraft kit. It serves to tie a parked machine into an airfield scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
Note that this is not an aircraft model but a stand-alone accessory. The set from LP Models holds the boarding ladder used with Su-27 family aircraft, that is the thing the pilot climbs into the cockpit of a parked machine by. The accessory is built and painted separately and is simply stood beside the finished model, or fixed to a base.
An aircraft model in a display case looks static on its own. A ladder standing beside it turns it into a scene at once: the machine is on the flight line, the cockpit is open and somebody is either climbing in or has just climbed down. The ladders used with the heavy fighters of the Su-27 family are tall and have a distinctive structure, so even as a small element it gives away at once which type is being shown. The accessory also helps to justify an open canopy that you have invested time in detailing.
Wash the parts first in lukewarm water with dish soap and degrease them so that the paint holds. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the surface on sandpaper; protect your breathing while sanding. Glue with super glue, and on thin rungs a gel version helps, as it leaves time to align them. Apply the primer in a thin coat, otherwise it rubs off the thin sections. Choose the colors according to how well kept an airfield you are building: fresh paint, or worn edges with metal showing through and a little dust at the foot. A small highlight on the handrails is made with a dry brush.
This is an accessory to a model, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
