An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian two-seat Sukhoi Su-29 aerobatic aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker Amodel. It is a short-run model completed with a clear canopy part, decals and instructions. Because of the nature of a short-run mold, expect more careful cleaning up of the parts and dry-fitting.
The Sukhoi Su-29 is a two-seat sporting aerobatic aircraft with a radial engine, which is derived from the single-seat Su-26 and takes over most of its structural features. It serves for basic and advanced aerobatic training, for taking part in flying competitions and displays and for keeping pilots in flying practice. Its two seats make it a popular machine for instruction.
Glue the parts with modeling cement for plastic and sand down the joints and any flash from the short-run mold. Apply primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal for the richly colored aerobatic schemes. Mask the clear canopy and varnish it only at the end, and gloss varnish under the decals will prevent silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
