Injection-molded plastic kit of the German heavy half-track sWS with the Panzerwerfer 42 rocket launcher in 1:72 scale from Revell. The box lets you build the version with the rocket launcher, or alternatively as an ammunition carrier. Injection-molded tracks and a decal sheet are included. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The sWS (schwerer Wehrmachtsschlepper) was a German heavy half-track tractor introduced in the later stage of the war as a simplified tractor with a higher load capacity, meant to replace the older half-tracks. In the version with an armored cab it carried the Panzerwerfer 42, a ten-barrel launcher for 15cm rockets used for area fire support. The vehicle thus combined the mobility of a half-track with the striking power of salvo fire.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the interior of the cargo body first, and only then close up the superstructure. Clean up the tracks and paint them separately. Apply the basic camouflage with an airbrush, and bring out the transitions between shades and the shadows in the recesses with washes and with pigments for mud and dust effects. The small rocket tubes need careful cleaning up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
