An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Yak-140 supersonic fighter prototype in 1:72 scale from Modelsvit. The box contains plastic sprues, clear parts and decals. The model is built from individual parts and is intended to be glued and painted.
The Yak-140 was a Soviet light prototype of a supersonic fighter from the Yakovlev design bureau, developed in the middle of the 1950s. It had a jet engine with a circular nose air intake and mid-mounted, heavily swept wings. The project was canceled shortly after taxiing trials began, and the machine never flew fully.
Work up the cockpit before closing the fuselage and add weight in the nose to stop it sitting on its tail. Use a thin cement on the plastic, apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. Give the surfaces under the decals a gloss coat and even the surface out with a final clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
