Kabuki masks for the Ye-152A (E-152A) in the BASIC grade, 1:72 scale from the New Ware brand are an accessory for finishing a model. Pre-cut masks replace adhesive tape and the lining of the frames by hand alike.

A masking set for a model of the Soviet experimental aircraft Ye-152A in 1:72 scale from the New Ware brand. It is not a kit, but an accessory that is used during finishing. The masks are cut from kabuki paper — that peels off easily, holds an edge and leaves no tacky film on the surface once taken off.
The most common mistake is not in the applying, but in the timing of the removal. If you pull the mask away too early, the fresh finish will draw over the edge and a trace like that of a brushstroke will arise. If you wait several days, the layer will harden and the margin of the painted frame will tear away with it. The optimum is the state when the finish is dry to the touch. Then take the mask off slowly and above all back over itself, not straight upward — a sideways pull strains the edge of the finish the least. Use the tip of a scalpel or tweezers to lift a corner, not your fingernail.
The brand offers masks for the same aircraft in the BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT grades. The grade is the distinguishing figure between otherwise identically named items and it determines the extent of masking. This set is the basic BASIC grade.
The package holds only the masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in it.
