Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the compact Mazda Familia of the BD generation in XG trim, in 1:24 scale. The model comes from Aoshima of Japan and belongs to its range of Japanese production cars. The kit is meant to be glued and painted, and the number of parts and the contents of the package are not stated here.
The Familia of the BD generation introduced in 1980 meant a fundamental turn for Mazda: it was the first Familia with a transverse engine and front-wheel drive. The angular body with its large windows, tall tail and practical interior space became exceptionally successful in Japan, and on export markets the same car was sold under the names Mazda 323 and GLC. The XG designation corresponds to one of the trim levels. The car is a typical representative of the switch of Japanese compacts to front-wheel drive at the start of the 1980s.
An angular body suits an even, thin coat of paint, because every unevenness shows on the large surfaces. Sand the body, therefore, spray a filler primer and lay the shade on in several thin coats. Finish the interior and the chassis before you close the shell up. The black window frames and bumpers are easily dealt with by masking tape and matte paint. Apply the decals onto a gloss base, and once dry bring the surface into line with clear at the sheen you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
