The Eduard masking set for the EA-18G in 1:48 scale holds pre-cut masks for the outer face of the glazing of the two-seat cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
These are self-adhesive masks, not a kit and not a photo-etched set either. The shapes are die-cut in advance, so on the model they are simply positioned and taken off once the spraying is done. On this aircraft the set has more work to do than on single-seat types: the cockpit is two-seat in a tandem arrangement, so the glazing is markedly longer and there are more frames. Cutting tape by hand would take noticeably more time here than on a single-seat fighter.
The EA-18G is a two-seat electronic warfare aircraft derived from the two-seat version of the Super Hornet. Outwardly it differs from the fighter version chiefly in the equipment at the wingtips and in the stores carried. For masking, what matters most is that long tandem glazing and the broken-up frame between the two seats.
For a modeler who builds this type in 1:48 scale. The manufacturer has issued more than one set of masks for it and they differ in the target kit, which is not stated here. Before buying, therefore, check the match with your own kit against the manufacturer's details.
The masks are supplied unapplied. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
