An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Centaur AA anti-aircraft tank in 1:72 scale. The package contains plastic parts on sprues and a small decal sheet; the model is meant to be glued together and painted.
The Centaur AA was a British anti-aircraft tank of the Second World War. It came about by fitting a Centaur chassis with a turret carrying twin 20 mm Polsten cannon. The machine was to protect armored units from air attack; only a small number were built, and some of them appeared after the Normandy landings. Because of Allied air superiority the type was soon withdrawn as surplus to requirements.
Assemble the running gear and the turret with the cannon first, and only then close the hull up. Bond the joints with a liquid cement for plastic and clean the fine barrels and details up carefully. After the base color, bring out the weathering with washes and with pigments for mud and dust effects, which give armored vehicles a believable look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
