1:35 Movie Posters - BIG SET

A large set of movie posters 1:35 from Matho Models

Movie Posters BIG SET is a combined package from the line of diorama movie posters in 1:35 scale. It is neither a kit nor a part for a vehicle but a stock of printed motifs for building an environment. The individual parts of the line are listed separately and are devoted to different decades; this item is markedly more extensive than they are.

What the part does in a scene

Posters in a scene stand for civilian life and above all for a period. On a facade, a billboard, in a shop window or in an interior they say at once when the subject takes place and break up empty areas of brickwork with color. A large package also gives you freedom in composition: you can pick motifs by their colors, fill a whole billboard with layered billposting and use the same stock on several dioramas without repeating the same motif side by side.

How it is fitted

The procedure is the same as with the individual parts of the line. Cut the motifs out with a scalpel, glue them with a thin layer of PVA glue and press the paper down from the center toward the edges so that it does not ripple. On billboards, modelers layer the motifs over one another and turn them slightly; the result then looks like gradual billposting rather than an exhibited gallery. Aging is taken care of by a torn edge, a lifted corner, a weak wash and dust pigment. Matte the whole surface at the end so that the paper does not shine and blends with the surface of the wall.

Who the set is for

• Builders of several dioramas who want a stock of motifs for a longer time.
• Modelers building more extensive urban scenes with billboards.
• Those who want to pick posters by the colors of a composition.
• Clubs and workshops where several people work on a scene.

This is a diorama accessory, not a kit. The base, glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. The exact composition of the set is not stated here.
