An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Aoshima. The subject is the Toyota Hiace of the KZH100G series in the Super Custom G trim of 1999. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the contents of the package are given in the instructions in the box.
The Hiace is one of the most widespread Japanese vans of all, and the H100 generation, built from the late 1980s, became a matter of course on the streets in Japan and in many other countries. The Super Custom G version was one of the better-equipped passenger guises with a more comfortable interior, aimed at families and company passenger transport rather than at purely commercial use. It was precisely this generation that became a popular basis for modifications, from lowered suspensions to leisure vehicles.
A van has the most flat and uninterrupted areas of any ordinary body, so it is at the same time the most demanding on the quality of the finish. Before spraying we recommend sanding the whole body and using filler primer, which levels out small unevennesses and the traces of the mold. Apply the paint in thin coats and keep a constant distance, because it is exactly on the extensive sides that orange peel shows up fastest. With metallic shades mix the paint really thoroughly and spray evenly, otherwise streaks will appear. Mask the glass of the large windows carefully, as an imperfect transition shows at once on a van.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
