In the 15th century the Duchy of Burgundy was among the richest territories in Europe and its army among the best equipped. Beside heavily armored cavalry stood infantry with pikes, crossbows and handguns, arranged into regular detachments. It is precisely the difference between a lavishly turned out knight and plain infantry that makes the Burgundian army a rewarding theme: plate armor meets padded jerkins in one scene.
Figures of infantry and knights in 1:72 scale. The designation Set 1 means that this is the first set on this subject; a second set follows on from it in the same line, so a scene can be expanded without repeating the same poses. The exact contents of the package are stated on the manufacturer's box. The 1:72 scale is the most practical for mass historical scenes: a whole detachment stands on a board the size of a book, and the difference between a rider and a foot soldier still shows.
Wash and degrease the figures, cut the excess material and the production traces off carefully with a sharp blade and sand the area down. Apply the paint in thin layers. Do not deal with the metal parts as a silver area: a dark base, a thin layer of a metallic shade and a dry brush on the edges will give armor depth. Cloth on the contrary will bear saturation, because late medieval clothing really was colorful. Unify the scene with one subdued tone on the footwear and the lower part of the legs.
For builders of historical dioramas and for players of late medieval tabletop battles. The figures are supplied unpainted, and paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
