An add-on set in 1:35 scale for a model of the German tank Panther in the Ausf.D version (Sd.Kfz.171). The extent of the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panther is among the best known German tanks of the Second World War, and the Ausf.D version was its first production guise. It got into the fighting in the summer of 1943 and carried a 75 mm gun with a barrel seventy calibers long, which for the standards of the time went through almost everything that stood against it. The mark of the first examples is the cylindrical commander's cupola and the machine gun port in the front plate of the hull. It is precisely the early guises that are rewarding among modelers, because they differ conspicuously from the later Panthers.
An add-on set for a model of this tank in 1:35 scale. The extent of the parts, the material they are made of and also the kit the set is meant for are given in the instructions enclosed by the maker. The set is intended for modelers who want to take a model further than the contents of the box reach.
Go through the whole instructions before you reach for the first part; add-on sets often assume that something will be cut off or sanded down on the model, and that is done before gluing, not after it. Try the parts dry and choose the glue according to the material they are made of. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down. Before painting, wash and degrease all the parts and lay a primer on them, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
