1:32 P-47C/Ds of the 56th Fighter Group

Decals 1:32 Republic P-47C and P-47D, 56th Fighter Group (Kits-World)

A printed sheet of decals for models of the fighter Republic P-47 Thunderbolt in the C and D versions in 1:32 scale, with markings tied to the 56th Fighter Group. It is neither a kit nor a set of parts: the decals are applied only to a finished model, are transferred with water and hold by their own layer of adhesive on the carrier film.

Several identically named sheets exist, so when ordering watch the exact product designation and the part number.

How to seat a decal without silvering

• Silvering is air under the film. The basis of the defense is a smooth gloss varnish and a close trim around the printing.
• Soak briefly in lukewarm water and let the decal rest until the film releases by itself.
• Once it is seated, go over the printing with a soft brush from the center toward the edges and push the water out.
• Apply the softener only to a design that is straight, better twice lightly than once heavily.
• Before the final varnish comes, wash the area with a damp towel to remove residues of adhesive.
• A matte varnish at the end unifies the sheen of the whole model and practically hides the edge of the film.

Who it is for

For builders of large scales who want to take a model to a particular form and who treat markings as a separate stage of the build. The procedure is the same as with other waterslide decals, only the areas are larger and a mistake in the seating is all the more visible.

Decals are not a kit. A model, paints, varnish and a softener are not included in the package.
